Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Barrāk
Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Nāṣir al-Barrāk (born Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1352 AH) was born in al-Bukayriyyah in the Qaṣīm region and lost his sight at the age of nine. The scholar who most shaped him was Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz, whom he accompanied and learned from for more than fifty years.
He began teaching at the religious institute in Riyadh in 1379 AH, then moved to the College of Sharīʿah and later to the College of Uṣūl al-Dīn, where he taught creed for decades and mentored many students. He remains known for his depth in ʿaqīdah and for continuing to teach and answer questions well into his later years.
